According to recently published research from the School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, the cost for dermatology residency applicants has increased since 2021 largely due to the costs of away rotations and the costs of in-person interviews (Cutis 2025;116:216-217). The total average expenses in 2021 was $6235, while it more than doubled in 2024 to $13,087.
The Dermatology Interest Group at The University of Texas Medical Branch (DIG @UTMB) is a resource for medical students interested in Dermatology as well as for dermatologists and residents.
