The UTMB Department of Dermatology was deeply saddened to learn about the recent loss of Betty Head. Betty was an accomplished mycologist who was well known to generations of UTMB medical students, dermatology residents, and dermatology faculty. She had a vast knowledge about the history of the UTMB Department of Dermatology that dated from the 1940s  when she was first employed at UTMB as a teenager.
