Please join DIG in congratulating Melissa Marchan-Martinez, MS4, for presenting her research titled “Hispanic Children with Acanthosis Nigricans Have an Increased Risk of Developing Metabolic Syndrome – A Retrospective Cohort Study” at the Annual Southern DIGA Dermatology Spotlight. Out of 100 abstract submissions, only 21 were accepted for presentation this year.
Her coauthors are Diana Bonilla, MS (UTMB MS4), Alyssa Hansen, MD, MPH (Dermatology Research Fellow), and Lindy Ross, MD (Principal Investigator and Dermatology Faculty).
