Ms. Head was honored at the 2018 fall meeting of the Texas Dermatological Society Meeting held at Moody Gardens on September 21st and 22nd
for 72 years of service to dermatologists and to dermatology patients.
The oleander depicted on the award is a reminder of the leadership role
she plays in the International Oleander Society ( oleander.org ), where
her contributions are recognized through the Betty Head Oleander Garden
Park (2624 Sealy Street in Galveston, Texas).
