Congratulations to Dr. Ashley Group for passing the certification examination administered by the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery, a non-ABMS specialty organization. Dr. Group sees dermatology patients with complicated and chronic wounds at the specialized UTMB Health Wound Care and Hyperbarics Clinic in Dickinson, Texas. UTMB dermatology residents are very fortunate to work with Dr. Group during their PGY2 year because they gain additional expertise in this interesting subspecialty area of dermatology. Not many dermatology residency programs in the United States have a dermatology faculty with wound care certification.
The University of Texas Medical Branch Dermatology Interest Group (UTMB DIG) is a resource for medical students interested in Dermatology as well as for dermatologists and residents.
