The Dermatology Interest Group hosted a booth at the annual St. Vincent's HOPE Health Fair on Saturday, November 10th. The
health fair is a community-wide event focused on providing health
screening opportunities, health resources and health education to the
underserved population of Galveston. The "Skin
& Hair" Booth provided participants with free skin and haircare
items as well as educational materials on sun protection, sunscreen
usage, spotting skin cancers, psoriasis, and lice. The booth was
created and run by
Elise Weisert. Thank you to Anu Reddy for your help educating
participants and thank you to all of the UTMB students who helped put on
a great event.
