DIG Spring Bake Sale 3/16/2022

The Dermatology Interest group will be hosting a bake sale fundraiser in the Health Education Center (HEC) hallway at 12:00 PM as well as handing out fliers about sun safety. 

To prevent the spread of COVID-19: We will have hand sanitizer available. All the food will be pre-packaged and be handed out using gloves. Only 1 potential buyer will be allowed at the table at one time for social distancing purposes. Masks will be worn at all times.

5th Anniversary of the Houston Vitiligo Awareness Movement 5K

 The Houston Vitiligo Awareness Movement will be hosting a 5k on April 9th, 2022 to celebrate their 5 year anniversary as an organization. Houston Vitiligo Awareness Movement is here to Support, Embrace, Educate individuals who are affected by this autoimmune skin disorder. DIG members are welcome and encouraged to attend and volunteer. UTMB MS4 Publishes in JAMA Dermatology

 Congratulations to UTMB MS4 Bianca Uzoma for her recent publication, “Violaceous Plaques on the Left Lower Extremity.” Her coauthors were UTMB Dermatology PGY4 resident Paige Hoyer, MD and UTMB dermatology faculty, Assistant Professor Kathleen Kroger, MD. The citation is JAMA Dermatol. 2021 Dec 1;157(12):1498-1499. doi: 10.1001/jamadermatol.2021.4295. PMID: 34705023.

63rd Annual National Student Research Forum

 We cordially invite you to participate in the virtual 63rd Annual National Student Research Forum (NSRF). This year's forum will feature student research excellence in the fields of biomedical science, population health, and medical humanities from across the country and abroad. The NSRF will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022. We are excited to announce that we expect a return to an in-person forum this year at the University of Texas Medical Branch campus in Galveston, TX!

TDS Spring 2022

4 Week Summer Dermatology Scholarship
