UTMB MS2 Smiti Gandhi was notified by the American Academy of Dermatology that her poster, “Systematic Review of the Role of Tranexamic Acid in Skin Cancer Prevention, Treatment, and Complications” was selected as one of the Top 20 Finalists for the Poster Exhibit Award competition at the 2025 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, March 7-11. The awards letter described “A rigorous multi-step evaluation process conducted by the Poster Exhibit Work Group members was used to select the top posters from almost 1,700 high-quality submissions. Your abstract was judged to be exceptional based on scientific importance, methodology, and presentation. We commend your outstanding scientific contributions and presentation, which significantly enhanced the quality of the poster.” Ms. Gandhi’s UTMB coauthors are PGY2 dermatology resident Marie T. Vu, MS3 Madelyn Schmidt, and Professor Dermatology and Chair Michael Wilkerson, MD.
