The OU COM Department of Dermatology is hosting the 2022 Virtual Mark Allen Everett, MD, Skin of Color Symposium, Friday, May 6, 2022. The symposium is virtual-only and will showcase nationally-recognized dermatology experts in skin of color, as well as other speakers selected for their knowledge and commitment to diversity and cultural competence, especially in the field of medicine. This year’s symposium also includes internationally-acclaimed, award-winning photographer, Angélica Dass, as well as a special panel discussion. In an effort to bridge the knowledge gaps in skin of color dermatology and cultural competence, the Mark Allen Everett, MD, Skin of Color Symposium is offered to a broad audience including: healthcare providers, healthcare students and trainees, staff and administrators, as well as aestheticians and professional hairstylists.
