2022-2023 DIG Elections

UTMB Dermatology Interest Group will be holding virtual elections for the upcoming year. Please fill out the interest form if you would like to vote in this year's elections or if you are interested in running for a position. 

We have the following positions open:

Vice President (1):

-Runs the blog with the president and assists with day-day operations.

-Organize DIG’s involvement in St. Vincent’s Health Fair and monthly St. Vincent volunteering

-Open to rising MS3s Only

-Preference given to current officers


Sun Safety Chair (1):

-Plan and give presentations on Sun Protection to local Galveston Schools

-Conduct monthly Hats for the Homeless events

-Preference given to rising MS2s


Education Chair (1)

-Act as a liaison with the UTMB Chief Resident for Medical School Education

-Conduct and organize monthly seminars to provide guidance and help DIG members 


Research Chair (1):

- Coordinate Annual Melanoma Walk

- Open to any year medical student


Melanoma Walk Chair (1):

- Coordinate Annual Melanoma Walk

- Open to any year medical student


Psoriasis Chair (1):

- Plan Psoriasis Walk

- Open to any year medical student


Bake Sale Chair (1):

- Plan and Coordinate Fall and Spring DIG Bake Sale

-Fundraise 

- Open to any year medical student


Diversity Chair (2):

- Promote diversity and coordinate DIG Skin of Color Series

-Skin of Color series

- Run the booth for Welcome Weekend

- Open to any year medical student


If you don't want to be an officer or don't get a position, you can also become a committee member and help the chair with their duties throughout the year.
