A case of measles has been reported in Galveston County, although few details are available ( see
https://www.chron.com/houston/article/Three-cases-of-measles-confirmed-in-Harris-County-13587566.php
). Since measles often has a characteristic rash, it may come to the
attention of dermatologists for diagnostic expertise. Look for Koplik's
spots in the
mouth 2-3 days after the illness starts, and an erythematous rash that
begins on the face and then spreads to the rest of the body 3-5 days from initial symptoms.
