Congratulations to Drs. Travis Dowdle (incoming PGY2 UTMB dermatology resident in July 2024) and Richard Wagner (Professor Dermatology and Program Director of the UTMB Dermatology Residency and the Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs) Fellowship Programs for their recently published research article, “Nationwide Case-Control Analysis of Merkel Cell Carcinoma and Associated Skin Cancer Comorbidities: An Examination of the All of Us Database” in the peer-reviewed and indexed (PubMed Central) journal, Cureus. Their co-authors were Texas Tech medical students Kritin Verma (first author), Sumoni Verma (student, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, Austin, Texas) and Baylor medical student Tejas Joshi.
