Grade Inflation During Third Year of Medical School
Harvard researchers have published a 2009 survey of MS3 internal medicine clerkship directors that documented grade inflation during this third year rotation. 55% of respondents felt that there was grade inflation during this required clerkship at their schools. Shockingly, 38% thought that students who should have failed their clerkship still passed! The reference to this article is: Fazio SB, Papp KK, Torre DM, Defer TM.
